Michael Brewster Davis is 14th generation from Elder William Brewster, who said the first Thanksgiving prayer in Plymouth after sailing over on the Mayflower.

And William Brewster's prayer is referenced in Billy Graham's wonderful devotional, "HOPE FOR EACH DAY," on page 353, for November 22:
"On one occasion William Brewster, rising from a scanty Plymouth dinner of clams and water, gave thanks to God 'for the abundance of the sea and the treasures hid in the sand.' "
